Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American after winning American Idol's inaugural season. The win not only catapulted her to stardom and acclaim, but it also earned her a multi-album recording contract in partnership with RCA Records 19 Recordings and 'S Records. Since her debut, she released numerous albums. Of those albums three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The other albums came close to the top spot. She was among the most popular performers on American Idol. In order to achieve success she experimented with different musical styles, and explored topics. Due to her uniqueness and skill in the field of singing her work was recognized by reviewers and was awarded a couple of prestigious award. She has been awarded Grammy Awards three times. Grammy Award 3 times. Aside from her career in the field of music, she has also been featured on film and television. She also wrote the children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been associated with various charitable organizations.
