Kari Sam Wuhrer born on 28th April 1968 is an American actor and singer. She began her acting career when she was in her teens. She is most known for her role as Maggie Beckett on the TV show Sliders as well in the role of her character, Sheriff Samantha Parker, in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks. Wuhrer was raised in Brookfield Connecticut as the daughter of Karin Noble who was employed as a pay clerk and German American Andrew Wuhrer. The couple has three brothers. She started singing at clubs as a teenager, and often would leave her house to sing. Kari was first introduced to acting at the age of 13 years old, and received her breakthrough in 1987 on MTV Remote Control.
